Stop Guessing. Start Mapping.
A self-paced course that builds the complete picture of your child’s sensory world — so you finally understand the why behind the behavior.
You’ve started to see it. The meltdowns aren’t random. The refusals have a pattern. The hard moments happen at the same time, in the same place, for the same reasons.
But you don’t have the full picture yet. You can see pieces of the puzzle, but you can’t see how they fit together.
The Seedling gives you the complete map.
Start the SeedlingYou Don’t Need More Strategies. You Need the Full Picture.
You’ve tried individual strategies. A fidget toy here, a breathing exercise there, a visual schedule on the fridge. Some of them work sometimes. None of them work consistently.
That’s because strategies without a map are guesses. And you’re tired of guessing.
The Seedling walks you through every sensory system, helps you identify your child’s unique sensory landscape, and connects the dots between what you’re seeing and what their nervous system actually needs. When you have the full map, the right strategies become obvious.
Module 1:
Sensory Discover
Seeing the "why"
The morning meltdown, the sock that ruins everything, the kid who was fine in the car and fell apart in aisle seven — none of it is random, and none of it is defiance. You'll learn to read behavior as information about your child's nervous system, recognize whether they're seeking input or protecting themselves from it, and understand why different nervous systems under one roof collide the way they do. This is the module where the confusion starts to lift.
You'll walk away with: a clear map of how everyone in your house experiences the world, including you.
Module 2:
Orient the Body
Finding ground, finding safety
We start with you, because a child borrows calm from a steady adult before they can find their own. You'll get three regulation tools you can use in the middle of a hard moment without anyone noticing, then six Sensory Snacks — small, quick doses of input that keep your child steady through the day. And you'll learn the timing that makes them actually work, which is the piece most parents miss.
You'll walk away with: a daily rhythm of sensory support your family builds together.
Module 3:
Integrate the Home
Changing the soil
Your home is either working with your child's nervous system or quietly draining it. You'll learn to spot the hidden sensory load in your lighting, your background noise, and the twenty-seven small decisions between waking up and walking out the door. Then you'll build a space your child chooses when they need to reset — one they associate with safety instead of consequence.
You'll walk away with: one real change in your home, and the eyes to keep finding more.
Module 4:
Life in Bloom
Thriving, not just surviving
This is where it stops being a course and starts being your life. You'll thread everything you've built into routines that hold up on hard weeks, learn how to tell teachers and grandparents what your child needs without over-explaining or apologizing, and begin teaching your child the language to speak up for themselves. It ends where it was always headed: connection.
You'll walk away with: routines that survive real life, and a week-long practice to make it stick.
S.O.I.L. is the path — Sensory Discovery, Orient the Body, Integrate the Home, Life in Full Bloom. We start with understanding your child, and everything else grows from there.
What Your Family Looks Like With the Map
- You know which sensory systems are driving the hardest moments — and you know why.
- You have a toolbox of strategies matched to your specific child — not generic tips from a blog.
- When a meltdown happens, you don’t freeze. You run the checklist: what system, what need, what tool.
- Your morning routine has one sensory strategy built into it — and it takes 2 minutes.
- You stop saying “I don’t know what’s wrong” and start saying “I know what their body needs right now
That’s not confidence you borrow from a course.
That’s confidence you built one module at a time
The Seedling is for you if:
You’ve started to suspect sensory avoiding or seeking is part of your child’s story, but you don’t have the full picture.
You want to learn at your own pace, on your own schedule, without booking weekly calls.
You want more than a tip sheet; you want to actually understand your child’s nervous system.
You’ve done The Sprout and you’re hungry for more.
This is NOT for you if:
You want 1:1 guidance and real-time support. That’s The Taproot Intensive.
You’re looking for a clinical evaluation or diagnosis.
You want someone to tell you what to do without understanding why; the Seedling is built on understanding first.
Meet Your Guide
Hi. I'm Melissa.
I’m a certified occupational therapy assistant with 16+ years of experience in sensory development. I am also a mom who knows each kid is wonderfully unique! I built The Seedling because I watched too many parents try strategy after strategy with no map underneath. The strategies aren’t the problem. The missing picture is.
I’m not here to diagnose your child or replace your OT. I’m here to teach you the language your child’s nervous system is already speaking so you can respond with confidence instead of confusion.
Connection over correction. That’s what we build here.
I already bought The Sprout. Why do I need this?
I don’t have time for a course right now.
Should I just skip to the Taproot?
What if my child’s issues are too complex for a course?
I'm already working with an OT / therapist.
